I almost did not make it to my 18th birthday,  which is on December 19th. Five days before this date I was in an extremely frightening accident that almost ended my life, but God had different plans. I am very grateful I got to witness a huge miracle, the protection of my life!

It was a day like every other, with the exception of heading off to lead a Crew of young girls who are part of our Legacy Church youth group. I had four of my crew girls in the car and it was our third time meeting to have our small group meeting. Almost half-way to our Crew destination, I felt my car shake. The car started moving slower so I became confused. This caused me to pull over the the side of a major freeway. I then noticed I had a flat tire so I called my mom and uncle, because I had no idea what to do. All five of us in my car went outside of the car to check if there was a spare tire. I then went inside the car to call for assistance and my cousin Destinee followed.

Before I could finish my sentence to the police officer I was crashed into by a speeding car. I do not remember the whole accident clearly.  I just remember flying to the passengers side of the vehicle while my cousin was thrown up into the air and we both collided. From the other girls point of view, it was probably scarier than mine. They saw headlights come towards them and had to jump out of the way before they were crushed.

They then witnessed the driver and car crash into us, causing my vehicle  to fly forward, hit the jersey barrier and spin around on the highway. They then rushed to get my cousin and I out of the car. We were all traumatized as we waited for our families and the authorities to come. This day was nothing short of a miracle. We were all close to being killed, but God had His hands in the midst of this. My cousin and I got out of the car with nothing other than a scratch. The other girls were just about to get into the car when we were hit, but somehow jumped out of the way just in time. Some people may call this coincidence, but I believe it was God protecting us!

As a church we do not believe in doing life alone. We want to pray with you.
