I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.” Psalms 63:2

A great leader is able to inspire others to accomplish a vision and goals. Therefore it is important for leaders to receive inspiration to give to others. So how does a leader find inspiration? One important way is seeking God in His sanctuary.

✓ The Psalmist says in Psalm 62:2 God can be seen in His sanctuary.

There is power and glory to be beheld in His presence. For certain there is great inspiration and revelation that comes in the presence of God. A Christian leader should desire to be inspired by the Holy Spirit and lead others through godly inspiration.

✓ When I was a church worship leader many original songs came to me in church while in the sanctuary.

I was inspired to write songs and would hear melodies being downloaded into my spirit in the sanctuary. As a pastor and preacher I often receive guidance in the sanctuary during a church service. Powerful thoughts and truths will come to me right in the middle of preaching. There is just something special about church and being in a room filled with faith and worship. Some call it an open heaven or a gateway to heaven.

✓ The sanctuary is a place where God meets with His people.

The Bible instructs us to not forsake assembling together as the church even more so as Jesus’ return approaches. There is no other place like the sanctuary on the earth. Some may say, the forest is their sanctuary, or a special room in their home, but there is a place where God meets with His people, it is the church. Jesus died for it and is coming back for it. God often speaks to His leaders, empowers them and gives them the inspiration and spiritual power they need to lead His people in the sanctuary.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
